Unique phosphate free formula with added sulfur to lower the soils pH. Too much phosphorus will inhibit aluminum intake in the plants system which then effects hydrangeas distinctive blue blossoms. Added sulfur lowers the soils pH which enables aluminum uptake which is only available if the soil pH level is below 5.6. Hydrangeas blue color will be richer and enhanced with this formula. Our unique dehydrated food waste fertilizer base also enriches the organic soil matter and overall health of the soil. Since the Cape Cod Challenger Green Fertilizer started we have re-purposed over 50,000lbs of food waste and have raised money to provide free special needs programs to over 5,000 participants.
